Posting History (335)

Not a flag, no...

but I have my VT chair, my VT shirt/hat on, a separate TV for my VT game on satellite and all my coolers are Orange (works nice with the Auburn colors) or Maroon. The rest is all my wife and her friends Auburn gear, tents, tablecloths, chairs, fans, etc, etc, etc, The irony in it all, if you look at since I met my future wife in December, 2002, the Auburn and VT programs have pretty much been lock in step of when the programs were dominant and when they have been down. Hoping Franklin and Golesh are the 2 keys to making that happen again. ** Edited by HOKIE MAGIC at 6/25/2026, 8:14:31 AM

You know, check out the outfield "porch" that Okie State has setup.

Something as simple as that stained, painted maroon or something you would think could work at our softball park after a bit of a design? Couldn't be expensive. Bad idea? Thinking outside the box here.

Maybe, never know!

The interesting thing is none of the "new" SEC schools like OU, Texas, A&M have won a title in recent memory. The last time OU won one I was in attendance in 1994. The Minor boys, Chip Glass and crew destroyed a GT team full of future MLB all stars in the championship game...back when they only played one, not best of 3.

Since we are talking about baseball...

in the last 80 years or so the ACC has won EXACTLY 2 NCAA champships when teams were actually in the ACC. Miami hasn't even won one in like 20+ years. Throwing shade at the SEC when they have probably won in the 15 to 20 range since Skip Bertman got hold of LSU in the 90s is really not even a comparison.

Yeah, also have until May 2027 for the match

It will trickle in with big chunks, small chunks, and somewhere in between over just this calendar year...imo

Obviously could be wrong.

But every one of those guys is a World Champ, NCAA Champ, and/or NCAA All American....I get that Gaj would bump, great situation to have! See what Noah can do as well, maybe he is a 165 guy?

One of my daughters best friends signed and will play at Auburn next year.

I root for them...I know its unpopular around here because just about everyone hates Auburn in all sports. But I hope they win out, only helps us obviously. And this young gal is so fantastic.

The next 2 classes are really impressive.

If they hang together, it just keeps getting better. This is like that Metcalf class back in the day with Brands...the talent is undeniable...going to be fun. You have the current crew on campus already with Seidel, Gaj, Burton, etc as well. Throw some $$$ at the SERTC to keep the kids and staff happy imo.

First of all, its James Green!

Say no more if he is the guy. Been around SERTC...likes Blacksburg. I am in.

Ridiculous nonsense.

Also, this is Calebs team...as he goes VT goes. Which means Seidel is wrestling, Bo is wrestling, etc. It is his senior year and he wants a trophy. Captain Caleb baby.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of St. Louis.

As mentioned below, the best cities I have been involved with the last 15 years or so were Kansas City, NYC / Madison Square Garden, and Pittsburgh. You could roll right out of the arena and find a bar/restaurant to watch NCAA hoops and hang with other collegiate sports fans. I have always stayed at the VT teams hotel, lots of fun. I actually called the Ritz in St. Louis yesterday and they have already locked down all the hotel rooms for teams and individuals as an example. Some folks VRBO it, that is a great way to go as well. I agree on emailing Tucker and trying to understand how much donation is needed to get on the tickets list. It is a GREAT time! The Fan Fest I thought wasn't as good as in the past this year. When it was in Cleveland back in 2018 or 2017 its was much bigger and brands like RUDIs had a much bigger footprint. Just plan ahead...the hotels and VRBO houses are almost all locked in right now.

Here we go! NCAA week!

The guys have been working for this since last year in Philly. Can't wait! See you all in Cleveland...go Hokies!

Robie, Frayer and crew are doing work!

Guys from Cali, Florida, Jersey, Louisiana, Ohio, PA, VAs etc...and my boys from GEORGIA!...again, program is rolling! SERTC! SERTC! SERTC! ** Edited by HOKIE MAGIC at 3/1/2026, 8:11:10 AM

ACC Champs! ACC Champs!!

Program is in great shape boys and girls! Raise some hell for me in Blacksburg at the ACC tournament!!!

Well maybe I didn't want to watch anyway!

But would be nice if there was an official statement on why...or did I miss it?

I know this has been said, but SOOOOOOOOO frustrating.

No ability to watch a VT home game against a Big Ten opponent on a Friday evening. Meanwhile, I can watch Villanova/Lipscomb, Fairleigh Dickson/Gardner Webb, Maine/High Point, and on and on right now.

I am coming in that weekend as well for UNC and Ok State.

I was just talking with my wife about this, I don't think I have been back to Blacksburg for a non football weekend since I graduated in 1997. I am really excited and looking forward to waking up on a Saturday and chilling out. Normally its big time get to the tailgate spot, get everything laid out...and about that time you relax its go into the game. Again, really looking forward to next weekend. Safe travels!

GOOD MORNING WRESTLING FANS!!!

How about Friday night? How about those freshmen we saw? As I always say, if you have a few extra bucks the SERTC is driving the coaching, the players and the program! Get after it! Go Hokies!

Pretty simple in my mind...give to the SERTC.

VT Wrestling has done more with less compared to a few of the schools...aka PSU, Ok State, Iowa, etc. Gotta throw some $$$ the SERTC way.

RJ, they literally train for that.

The travel does suck but the kids are used to wrestling back to back days. As Robie always says, prepare the NCAAs that way. And has nothing to do with the Stanford wrestling team but screw the ACC and collegiate athletics for putting them in that situation traveling across the country.
